Dharamshala — According to a new report from Freedom House- Freedom of the Net 2017: Manipulating Social Media to Undermine Democracy, China was named world’s worst abuser of internet freedom for the third time in a row.

Holiness the Dalai Lama said the broad masses of Tibetans inside Tibet are the real masters of Tibet, and that Tibetan people should be proud of unique Tibetan culture, tradition and language.

“About 50% of Tibet’s glaciers have already disappeared and that two-thirds of the remaining 46000 glaciers could disappear by 2100. This is a grim situation and all nations should work in concert to find a lasting solution,” said President Dr Lobsang Sangay while addressing a press conference in Guwahati as part of the Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum organised by the Balipara Foundation.
